AUSTIN, TEXAS (Nov. 15, 2002) – KGB Consultants, Austin’s newest association and legislative affairs consulting firm, announces the addition of two new members to its experienced and professional staff.

KGB Consultants welcomes the addition of Philip Battelstein who will assist with marketing and strategic business issues and Lisa Lawless who will head up the firm's web development initiatives.

Mr. Battelstein brings extensive experience to KGB Consultants. He began his career as an internal auditor for Pacific Enterprises in Los Angeles, CA serving and later worked at Hausmaninger, Benoe Lang and Alford CPA’s in Irvine, CA where he earned his CPA license in 1992. Mr. Battelstein then joined TransCentral Mortgage as a loan officer in Austin, TX marketing residential mortgages. He later co-founded American Builders Mortgage-Texas expanding their mortgage operations into Texas. In 1995, he co-founded Geocel International as CFO/Marketing Director for email software applications and in 1996, he co-founded GalleryWatch.com, a legislative and regulatory information tracking service, and served as CFO/VP Finance through 2002.

Ms. Lawless has over 10 years experience in website design and implementation. She has designed over 40 professional websites that have included major associations, a Fortune 500 company and some of the largest law firms in Texas.
