Mr. Battelstein graduated from Trinity University in 1988 with degrees in Finance and Accounting. He worked as an internal auditor for Pacific Enterprises in Los Angeles, CA serving and later worked at Hausmaninger, Benoe Lang and Alford CPA’s in Irvine, CA where he earned his CPA license in 1992.

Mr. Battelstein then joined TransCentral Mortgage as a loan officer in Austin, TX marketing residential mortgages. He later co-founded American Builders Mortgage-Texas expanding their mortgage operations into Texas

In 1989, Philip joined Hausmaninger, Benoe, Lang and Alford, CPA's providing tax, audit and accounting services for small businesses.

In 1995, he co-founded Geocel International as CFO/Marketing Director for email software applications and in 1996, he co-founded GalleryWatch.com, a legislative and regulatory information tracking service, and served as CFO/VP Finance through 2002.

Philip later served as controller for Treaty Oak Financial Services, Inc. and Treaty Oak Bancorp, a publicly traded bank holding company which he helped take public through a $12M IP0. Philip currently serves as CFO/COO of NewspaperClips.com, a leading online newspaper clipping service.
